Gifting for Women’s History Month

We curate and create tons of great gifts at Kansas City Box, but some of our favorite gift suites have been to celebrate and honor Women’s History Month, which spans the month of March every year. Not only have these gifts been thoughtful and beautiful, but they have also been a chance to get past the surface-level sentiments and let clients, employees, and amazing women know how important and appreciated they are. Now more than ever, we have the opportunity to tie together the past, present, and future of women in a meaningful way.

As we enter Women’s History Month, we’re sharing some of our custom gift suites of years past, and including gifts you can purchase for the amazing women in your life. Plus, with this year’s Women’s History Month theme of Women Shaping A Sustainable Future, we are proud to continue offering sustainable packaging and highlighting women-owned businesses as we all work towards a more equitable future.

Women’s History Month, and the Kansas City Chiefs

We love working with the Kansas City Chiefs year after year on their Women's History Month gift suite. For the 2025 season, we collaborated with a local florist to bring these amazing gifts to life. These gifts also featured custom sugar cookies and Vietnamese coffee beans from hyperlocal women-owned businesses. This gift suite also included an alternative gift of equal value shipped to the non-local recipients so they could still enjoy from afar.

Non-local recipients were gifted a soy wax candle with a custom seal, a bag of caramels, a retro Kansas City glass from Ampersand Studio, Kansas City socks from Carly Rae, and Cafe Cà Phê Coffee Beans - all wrapped up in our Kansas City Skyline Tote, and with our favorite touch, a gift insert that outlines the locally sourced nature and female-owned businesses in this gift suite.

For the 2023 season, our Women’s History Month gift suite featured all small and local female-owned and operated businesses, nestled in our wooden keepsake crate. Items gifted included Onyx Monarch Coffee, Panache Chocolatier Choco Flakes, Mersea Co x Charlie Hustle Coconut Sugar Candle, and a Floral Glass Mug from Carly Rae. Our favorite addition to this gift suite was confetti collected from the recent Super Bowl win, housed in a branded keepsake glass bottle.
