Custom Gifting for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics
For this custom gift suite, we were approached by the hospitality partners for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics to create something unforgettable to gift at one of the most unforgettable sporting events of the year. The end goal was to curate a beautiful gift suite filled with Italian goodies and Olympics-themed treats that gift recipients would enjoy, and candidly, be able to fit in the luggage on the way back home.
The Kansas City Box team dove into Milan research, with notes on the timeless classics from this mountainous region of Italy and the 1956 Olympics that Milan-Cortina previously hosted. Inspired by everything we found, we wove vintage touches and color schemes into the playful “Aprés Ski” aesthetic of these gift suites. For logistical reasons, we were also curating items that could make it to Italy and back without getting stuck in TSA or customs. Speaking from personal experience, this snag can quickly derail an otherwise fantastic gift suite.
With pops of blue, red, and orange, this custom gift suite was filled with treats and gifts that were sure to make the recipients smile. Our team sourced goodies from Italy so the gift recipients could get a taste of the region straight from their seats at the Olympics. Each custom gift suite included the Little Book of Negroni cocktail book (a drink created in Milan!), a box of fennel olive oil crackers (perfect for the apertivo culture of Italy and Milan), a bit of sweet with our Compartés Hot Cocoa + Marshmallow Dark Chocolate Bar (peep that vintage packaging!), a Ski Goggles Catch-All Tray (for an elevated takeaway piece that could easily fit in luggage on the way home), along with 2026 Winter Olympics merchandise including a water bottle, a beanie, a sleek pair of gloves, and a pin of this year’s mascot Tina.
The final result is something we’re so proud to have brought to the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. Each item represents something to be enjoyed or celebrated from the Milan region, and ultimately ties back to the joy and excitement of being at the Olympic Games! This custom gift suite creates a memorable experience for the gift recipients, forever combining the love of Italy with their unforgettable time at the Olympics.
